How lucky can you be to have two of your favorite people having their birthdays on the same day. Paula Deen and my hubby's which was on Jan. 19. Paula is all of my family's favorite person and cook. I was so lucky to get to meet her in person at the Woman Today Expo in Knoxville, Tn. about three years ago. Let me tell you she is just like she is on tv. So friendly and kind to everyone she meets. I just wish I could look that young when I get her age. My granddaughter was helping me make some dumplings back before Christmas and she was just going about how she was going to be like Paula and cook like her when she grows up. I have never saw anyone that loves to cook like she does to be that young. When she was around 3 and was just beginning to pick up things we had a time going to shop. She would get the plastic bags and put onion, bananas, peppers and all kinds of stuff in the bag and if we tried to take them away from her she would throw a fit so we had to buy them. Then she would come home and we would have to cut it up for her and she would put it together and we would have to eat it. Now me I don't like a slice of onion and a banana or a cucumber and grapes. Buy we had to say it was good because she said she was little Paula .Now she can cook better.
Even my hubby likes Paula. He sure can't cook but he enjoys the recipes I make of hers. I am glad he is still with me as he was in a wreck last year that really hurt him. We all go from year to year and do we really think about dieing. I think we all take life for granted. But in just a few minutes you could be leaving from here. I had never really stopped and thought about him leaving me. I know we all think we will live to a older age but when you get sick or in a wreck it will sure open up your eyes and see how much you love each other and miss each other. Now every time he goes to work I am afraid to here the phone ring early in the morning , afraid it will be another call saying he has wrecked. Anyway just wanted to say Happy Birthday to my to most favorite people.
