NEW WAY TO PLANT TOMATOES

I know it is to late now to plant tomatoes but I learned something this year about planting them.
One of our friends was telling me about how he ask a friend how he raised such big tomatoes. Now me. I put everything on mine trying to get them to grow. So this friend took him and showed him his tomato patch.
He had planted his tomatoes in his corn. Why, because the corn will shade the tomatoes and they will not get the blossom end rot. Mine done this last year. There the tomato was almost ripe and then it stared rotting on the bottom. This year I am going to put some crushed Tums in some water and pour around them.
I was looking at another friends garden and they had their tomatoes planted with two rows of corn on each side of them not in with the corn but out in a row and had cucumbers planted on one side along with the tomatoes. They had planted the German Queen Tomatoes and boy were they big.
I went to the flea market Sat. and they had them there for 1.50 a lb. Now one of those tomatoes will weight at leat 2 lbs. and I wanted one so bad but that was just to much so I just bought me a basket of yellow tomatoes. But have you ever wanted something so bad you can taste it in your mouth.
There is nothing better then a big thick slice of German Queen tomato with salt on it and mayo and bread and make a tomato sandwich. I love mine with Durkee mayo. The dollar tree has a small jar there for a dollar if your family is like mine and just will only use Mircle Whip. lol.

DOG'S ON A DIET

My poor ole granddog's is having to cut back and go on a diet thanks to grandmaw. While I was having to sit with them for 2 weeks I sure did not know I had made them gain weight. lol.
Now how can you eat, when you have two granddog's sitting watching every bite you take. Now me, I just can't stand to not be able to give them some human food, so I guess I just got sorry for them and overfed them with their soft and meaty dog food packs. lol.
My son and the family are on WW. and now the dogs have to go on a diet with them. He called and had them out walking tonight. I told him it was just to hot to walk them but it had cooled down so I hope they did not get to hot.
Those yorkie's are somthing else. They are so scared of lighting. They shake just like kids and get so scared and want to be covered up. So here came a big storm thru and here they came trembling and wanted me to hide them so I had to go find a throw to cover them up and it just helped a little bit. I wonder if all dogs are like that.
I hope every thing turns out all right for Port. He has a tumor on his gum and is going to have to be put to sleep to have it removed. We just lost our older granddog last year to cancer and I sure hope this is not to serious with him. We also lost two more yorkies.
One thing for sure if you live where buzzards are don't let them out in the yard unless you are with them. My son let them out in his back yard and down came a buzzard and tried to get one of them so from then on he had to watch them close. Most people don't realize that a buzzard will get a little yorkie as they must think they are a rabbit. So keep a close watch on them when they are out in the yard.
I wonder if they will be put on the scales and weighted like everyone else to see how much weight they have lost. lol. With doggie candy and doggie cookies and doggie ice cream out now no wonder they gain weight. lol......
